Jan Miyabara is a Designer who discovered the art of hand embroidery in 2016. What started as a desire to make something meaningful with her hands, embroidering pet portraits & gifts for friends and family, became an obsession that continues to grow, recently experimenting with natural and small-batch dying. Aki & Co—derived from her middle name, Akiko, meaning Autumn Child—was created as an outlet to merge her love of fashion and graphic design with the exploration of handmade processes. She now offers hand-embroidered face masks, bandanas, apparel, & patches in her Etsy shop.
